To clean an
F7 filter, follow these steps:
Turn off the system: Before cleaning the filter, make sure the HVAC or air filtration system is turned off to ensure safety.
Remove the filter: Open the filter compartment and carefully remove the F7 filter. Handle it gently to avoid damaging the filter material.
Inspect for damage: Check the filter for any signs of wear or damage. If the filter is torn or overly dirty, consider replacing it instead of cleaning.
Vacuum the filter: Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to gently clean the surface of the filter. Run the vacuum over both sides to remove as much dust and debris as possible.
Rinse with water (if applicable): Some F7 filters can be rinsed with water. Check the manufacturer's instructions. If allowed, rinse the filter gently with lukewarm water. Avoid using high-pressure water as it may damage the filter media.
Dry the filter: Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it. Ensure it’s fully dry to prevent mold growth or damage to your system.
Reinstall the filter: Once dry, carefully place the F7 filter back into its compartment, ensuring it fits securely.
Turn on the system: After reinstalling the filter, turn the HVAC system or air purifier back on.
