What is F8 bag filter?

F8 bag filter is a type of air filtration system used in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) applications to remove fine particulate matter from the air. It is classified as a medium-efficiency filter, often used in environments that require clean air but not to the level of HEPA filtration. The F8 classification refers to its efficiency according to the EN779 standard, which means it can filter out up to 90-95% of particles in the size range of 1.0 to 3.0 micrometers.

The design consists of multiple synthetic or fiberglass media pockets (bags) sewn or sealed into a frame. These bags increase the surface area for filtration, allowing the filter to trap more dust and particles without significantly reducing airflow. F8 bag filters are commonly used in commercial buildings, hospitals, laboratories, and manufacturing facilities where high indoor air quality is necessary.

Key characteristics include:
Particle capture efficiency: 90-95% for fine particles.
Filter media: Typically synthetic or fiberglass.
Application: HVAC systems in buildings, cleanrooms, and industrial environments.
Durability: Can handle high airflow and particle load without rapid clogging.
Their effectiveness helps maintain cleaner air quality, protecting both equipment and occupants from harmful airborne particles.
